Fun Pictures Coming Soon!
Well, I have been out of cyberspace for a few days, but with good reason!
John and I took advantage of an unbelievable internet-only sale from Ryanair and escaped the hustle and bustle of London for the quieter, more civilized pace of Venice, Italy! Leaving on Tuesday and returning Thursday, we spent the past 2 days exploring winding streets and just walking ourselves silly, soaking up the leisurely, fantasy-world that is Venice. In one word, it was unforgettable.
Interestingly enough, I had a presentation due today in my Ethnographic Cinema class, and I decided to incorporate a dozen or so images that I took during the trip, especially since they dealt with some of the anthropological questions that can arise from travel and tourism. I was planning on posting those select images on this site, but I have forgotten my firewire cable at home and I have no way of loading the images on to the computer at the moment... (probably a good thing, since the class went over its allotted time by an hour and I'm now starving)!
So, all this to say that there will be many vacation photos to enjoy in the days to come, and maybe even a quick introduction into the touristic experience and how it can relate to anthropology!

Hey there Marjan!! Remember me? How are you? You look wonderful. I spoke with your mom today and she told me about your website. You sound extremely happy and look even happier. I am glad to see that. I am doing well...have a little girl and live in Douglaston now.
