Venice, Part 2: San Marco

Topic: Travel (88 words, 20 images, 0 comments)

Our hotel was located 2 minutes away from the famous San Marco square. We would begin every day with a walk through the beautiful piazza, enjoying the morning light, the friendly pigeons (!) and the wet ground. Seems like November is a big flooding month in Venice. We witnessed a mild form of it at San Marco, where the city would set up raised walkways every morning so pedestrians wouldn't get wet on their walkabouts...

More Venice images to come. I'm about to get kicked out of the library!

More of the old world... Friendly locals! They actually wanted to be attacked by pigeons! What a weird ritual!
