Venice, Part 6: The Details and Flying Home

Topic: Travel (92 words, 19 images, 0 comments)

When I go about my life, I try hard to notice the details, the things that make a place unique or especially noticeable. Although there are plenty of details in the other posts, here is a little dedication to details!

And finally, what greater detail than flying over the Italian Alps on our way back to London. It was completely unexpected, since it was dark when we arrived the first night, but it really put into perspective how CLOSE we are to the bounties of mainland Europe! Long live short distances!

Fun phones. Tourist guides. Plenty of masks at every turn. A fun mailbox.
Large-scale sculpture. Gilded mermaids! My favorite store window! Posters for Persian folk singer Sima Bina's Venice show.
Boat reflection. Me and John. Door bells. Every kind of pasta imaginable!
Sweets galore. Treats from the sea... ... including Jaws, all for sale! A real Venetian bar/cafe in the afternoon. Everyone stands at the counter and enjoys an appetizer or two and a glass of wine. Great way to catch up with friends!
And finally, we fly home. What a view! Ciao Italia!
