Glimpses of Goldsmiths College

It occurred to me recently that it might be quasi-interesting to post some pictures of what my home away from home, a.k.a. Goldsmiths College- University of London actually looks like.

So hot off the presses, here are some pictures taken this morning of "normal" views around campus (if you can call it that), some friends from Visual Anthropology, and other random things that struck my fancy. John came to school with me today to use the free wireless at our library, so his presence in these shots is an added bonus!

The main entrance of the Main Building (yes, that's its real name!) The not-so-exciting view from the main entrance... The Goldsmiths logo, snapped off of a college delivery truck. My friend India, in front of the Main Building. She's a groovy New Yorker by way of Santa Fe, NM.
John and I entering the newly renovated Anthropology department building. A wider view of the Anthropology area. We have a cute garden and courtyard that will be really nice when it's not so COLD out! Joanna, who is also in the Visual Anthropology program. She hails from good ol' Connecticut! Once inside, a few of us wait to get into the classroom (on the left).
My friend Michelle, who was doing a presentation in class today. A impressionistic view of Delphine (left) and Sandra (right), both of whom were a bit camera-shy. Ricardo, our valiant Venezuelan Video Production Assistant and overall guru. Michelle gears up for her presentation while our professor Roger Sansi-Roca (right) helps out with the equipment.
All of this studying makes me hungry! Let's follow John to the cafeteria! He loves sitting by the huge windows and admiring the courtyard, all while surfing the web! Free wireless is hard to find out here! Me, not yet "unbundled" from the outside. Like all proper art schools, we have student art hanging EVERYWHERE. The cafeteria is no exception.
On our way to the library, or the Information Services building, as they like to call it. Everywhere you look, you see minis!! Here's John in front of my favorite, older REAL ones (they're absolutely tiny). Around the corner, we see a newer model, too. The view outside the library... lots of young fashionistas everywhere you look.
Once inside, the main staircase offers lots of colorful art to keep you inspired!!
