As some of you may already know, Technorati is a really cool website that acts as a search engine for blogs, making it the Google of the blog world (at least for a blogging laywoman like me).
Technorati offers an alternative, fun way to seek out information on a given topic, especially when one is seeking the unofficial angle on things or "the word on the street". For example, when I was looking at my choices for various grad school programs to see how they really compared, I found two blogs that helped inform my decision. One was by a student at Goldsmiths College and the other by a student at the University of Manchester. Both came up on Technorati.
So, give it a try, if you haven't already. Just pick your current topic of interest and look it up on Technorati to see what regular people around the world are saying about it. You never know, it might come up with something interesting! In fact, if anyone enjoys great success (or even experiences a minor miss), I'd love to hear about it right here!
