It is 5:40 pm London time on Monday afternoon and I am slightly delirious. I just got back from the most physically grueling 4 days of my entire life, which went a little something like this:
Wake up in basic mountain cabin with 20 other fun-loving lunatics, gear up and eat as quickly as possible, ignore that it is -25 to -10 degrees Celsius outside, move body in a forward motion for 15-20 km per day on cross-country skis (sometimes ascending 1800 vertical feet in 1 day!!), try not to get badly banged up (ouch, do I have some ugly bruises on my legs!) and all the while remember to admire the dreamy Norwegian back-country, specifically the icy mountain region of Finse, made famous in The Empire Strikes Back as the elusive Jedi rebels' headquarters. [Phew]. Luckily, more than a few expeditioners brought cameras with them, so I will have a wide array of images to share very soon!
More on this push-you-to-your-limits, back-breaking voyage soon, but I began my return trip to London on a train from Geilo at 2am this morning and have been awake since. I need sleep.
As a side note, I leave for the Digital Explorer Morocco Expedition tomorrow! I'll be filming the expedition for my final visual anthropology project at Goldsmiths. Please feel free to follow our progress through Morocco via Google Earth software and the expedition website...

Let me be the first to say how proud I am of everything you're doing and have done!! Not only are you pushing your body and mind beyond any imaginable limits (with such style and grace), but you are following your DREAMS and really *doing* what you've set out to accomplish.
You are my hero and my champion. I'll miss you while you're gone, but I'm so excited for your next adventure!!!

By the way, Shirin, my cousin's daughter-in-law living in Oxford has a blog which is really witty and funny (like your writings). You may want to check it out. Love you, be safe & happy. Tima
