Finally! Iran Photos, Part One

Ok, ok! I've officially been back in London for a week and have not yet posted any photos to my site! In Iran, my excuse was the lame 56k connection. What now???

Instead of telling you all how busy it is here, I will simply add the first set of images and keep quiet...

This series was taken by my friend Nini during our girls-only extravaganza to Kish Island! Thanks Nini and Maryam for an amazing time!! Miss you terribly...

For those people who may not be familiar with the Persian Gulf, it is LOVELY! If you like hot and humid, that is! So, the protagonists of this adventure included me and Maryam, my cousin. Also along for the fun was Nini, my cousin's friend from Tehran and an amazing girl!!! She grew up in San Fran and used to surf! We were a match made in heaven! Here is a picture of Ahmad, my cousin's diving instructor. I just called him Agha (Sir in Persian). I think he was OK with that. ;)
Like all true Persians, we tried to consume as much watermelon as humanly possible over the course of the 4 days. It was to die for. We took advantage of the secluded beach near the diving school and removed our scarves! How racy! My cousin, in her Islamic beachwear (deemed appropriate for jet-skiing!) playing with the Diving Dogs. Persian hotties!
Here, we are on the roof terrace of a seaside restaurant. A friend from Tehran, Amir Ali, joins us! I pretend that this beer is alcoholic as Nini smiles knowingly! It looks like the real thing! And it's ice cold! Maryam is happy because she went diving!
Later that evening, we decide to try out the local hot rods: Chinese electric motorbikes. Very ridiculous and very fun. Our leader was Amir Ali, although Nini gave him a run for his money. God she was a speed demon! Yipeeee! Another day, we found an internet kisok that somehow resembled a public bath or hamam. It also boasted fluorescent lighting and blue tiles... surreally placed smack dab in the middle of a mall entry way.

Que est ton papa? LOL, my 4 day new best friend. Were are you? Loved the pics, now i wish I took more! But you know I was too busy workin on my tropical tan! I just got back from Duabi..........dude I'll kick sha-nay-nays ass now in a tan contest now. So when you gonna post the other pics? Were is da pic from the Titanic/Ghost ship? Too funny, my stomach still hurts from laughing too much!
