Hey All!
Just a quick note to say all is well in the world of sponsorships and fundraising for Offscreen Education. Stephen and I are currently in Dubai and have been since Friday, where we have been meeting with various companies and organizations asking for support for our 2007 student expedition to the UAE and Oman. We are off to Oman this evening and I hope to elaborate a bit more on this trip then...
The weather is about 90 degrees and humid during the day and it is Ramadan. That being said, it has been an absolute pleasure to seethis part of the world (albeit briefly) and we have been staying with two of the coolest ladies on the planet (Meg and Kat - you rock!). We have a few pictures of us at various functions (when we stepped out of boardrooms and school buildings for some air!) and I will hopefully post them in the next few days.
Of note, of course, was a fleeting but wonderful encounter with my old friend JM, who passed through Dubai on his way from Kabul to DC. Buttercups all around, as he displayed his usual strength, curiosity and love of all things. Here's to the explorers of the world.

Sorry for the silence... it's been an odd return since Dubai! Anyway, Nini, I can't believe I missed you in Dubai. That being said, it was pretty much all work so I wouldn't have been able to hang out! ;) We'll have to plan our Best Friend Reunion... will email you tomorrow! xx
