So, there has been a lot going on since my return to London. Let's just say that my re-entry at Heathrow was unique and less than ideal, consisting of me innocently answering a series of questions (such as "Are you still a student?") and having my student visa revoked on the spot (even though the nice people at the immigration hotline that I spoke to before I left on this trip assured me that my visa was good until January 2007. Yes, even if classes were over and yes, it was completely legal to travel on. Yeah right. But who was I to argue at the border?

Anyway, the bitterness is wearing off and I am trying to deal with the current situation constructively and not get too freaked out. There are a maze of questions and forms and possibilities but it will take a bit of effort on my part (and on the part of my work permit sponsors). Story to be continued at a later date, but I felt like I had to get a bit of it out there...

In far cooler news, I wanted to share a link to my friend Omair's Youtube page, because he made a powerful (yet subtle) film about Dubai, and since I was just there and saw many things through the lens of this film, I wanted to share it with my people. It's cut into 3 separate sections (is there a limit to how long or large clips can be on Youtube?) but you will definitely get a feel for the pace nonetheless.

Hoping to get our Dubai and Oman pictures uploaded tomorrow (my friend and colleague Stephen has them and he just got back from the Middle East yesterday).

Love to all, thinking about you!
